HOW BILLING WORKS
It is important that clients understand how My Beautiful Home’s billing process works. This eliminates any confusion or surprise costs. When our clients know exactly where they stand and what to expect from their interior designer, we can establish a trusting relationship that is conducive to all those involved. We ensure our clients will recieve the best decorating services at the best price.
Initial Two Hour Consultation
Cost: $175.00
We recommend that all of our clients begin with an initial two hour consultation. During this session, the interior designer will travel to the client’s home and:
• Talk individually with the client and get to know them
• Look at the spaces intended for decorating
• Discuss styles that the client likes including personal tastes, décor ideas, etc.
• Decide how the project will move forward
Typically, during the first consultation, the interior decorator will also select paint colors, allowing the client to start the decorating process, so the next steps can be planned. In addition, should the client need upholstery and/or draperies the My Beautiful Home decorator will return with samples at no extra cost to the client.
ADDITIONAL CONSULTATION
Cost $85.00 per hour (two hour minimum)
We are available for two-hour minimum consultations to assist in additional decorating needs, which may include discussing:
• Shopping for decorating supplies and/or materials
• Assistance related to interior design involving a house being built or an addition added on to a home
• Many other interior decorating related matters
Typically, during the first consultation, the interior decorator will also select paint colors, allowing the client to start the decorating process, so the next steps can be planned. In addition, should the client need upholstery and/or draperies the My Beautiful Home decorator will return with samples at no extra cost to the client.
Decorating Supplies and Material Prices
Cost: Price of merchandise and labor
The client is responsible for paying the price of the merchandise that is bought by the interior designer, as well as cover the cost of the professional decorator’s labor. The following is what you can expect in terms of cost regarding upholstery and drapery.
Upholstery and Drapery
The price is based on yardage and labor. The interior designer will measure windows, select fabrics, and decide on style. The designer will determine the amount of fabric that is required, as well as choose the hardware, linings, and trims that are required for installation of window treatments. All supplies and materials needed to complete the project are included in the price that is given to the client, as well as the labor (measuring, shopping, purchasing, installation, etc.) costs.
**Clients are expected to pay half the total cost as a deposit once all products have been selected. When they have paid the deposit, the items are ordered and then shipped to our workroom. Approximately six weeks after the initial deposit, the project is completed and final payment is due. The entire payment process is very simple to understand and follow, and is laid out clearly at time of deposit.
Shopping with Client Service
COST: VARYING PRICES
For this service, the client is responsible for covering all of the decorators expenses, a daily rate, as well as an agreed upon percentage over wholesale based on the quantity of items they are shopping for. The cost of the interior designer’s service is discussed prior to the shopping experience so the customer knows exactly what to expect.
